These guys and girls are either awaiting vet work or training. They will be needing new homes as soon as they are ready. We can take applications now.
Diamond
Diamond is a 15 yr old Draft X mare who is due for a May 2010 foal. She will be with us until the foal is weaned and then they will both be needing new homes. She has alittle bit of a "mare" attitude but I think she will come around nice once she's been here for awhile. The only history we got was that she was mostly driven and just ridden alittle, so she will be in training for undersaddle work.
Snickers
Snickers a 7 - 8 yr old pony mare. I'm guessing around 12 hands but still have to measure her. Very sweet, rides good (would do better in a bit that actually fits her), w/t/c with no issues but doesnt back up. Snickers was a feedlot rescue on 10-18-09
Sassy
Approx. 14 yr old (According to tattoo - She looks 10 yrs younger) TB mare. Rides good but threw acouple small bucks when she spooked. Did fantasic at the walk/trot, didn't get her to break into a canter yet. Very clean legs. She could make a very nice jumper prospect. Sassy will be in training with Hope at Acres of Hope Farm (check out her website on our "Rescues we trust" page, she does amazing work!! Sassy was a feedlot rescue on 10-21-09.
Update - Sassy is at Acres of Hope Rescue for 30 days of work undersaddle.

Baby Boy
Baby is the sweetest horse, loves attention and spending time with you. Yes, he is blind in his right eye but it doesn't seem to affect him, he just tilts his head more than the average horse. I may look into having that eye removed, depending on what the vet thinks. Ali donated the money to have him pulled from the feedlot, Thank You! He never should've been there. People who saw him go thru the sale said it looked as though he had given up, well I think he knows he has a new life now. There's a sparkle in his eye. He's not spooky and doesn't act as though he's ever been abused so it makes me wonder what his past was like. Was he pampered, and then given away to the wrong person who took him to sale? We may never know. He is not a "light" warmblood breed, he is a draft cross with nice nice legs. If he's ridable he may make a very good horse for a heavier person once he gains all of his weight and muscle back. He has a ways to go until he's the horse he once was. Please consider sponsoring Baby Boy, he needs your help and support.
UPDATE 11/11/09 Baby Boy is gaining weight (I think alot of it was lack of water at the feedlot - Not that it wasn't offered but with the other horses he was in with he may have too afraid to walk to it), the swelling in his leg has gone down, and he is getting spunky! He's on the right track!

Spitz
I don't know much about this guy yet besides he was at the feedlot for way too long and his time was running out. I couldn't leave him there. Seems to be pretty sweet. Looks like he got beat up pretty bad on the trailer on the way to the feedlot but that will get fixed up nice. Likes attention. I will age him today and try to get more information on here when I can. Please consider sponsoring him or one of the others.
Update 11-15-09 We took him on a trail ride today and he did great except his teeth were bothering him so he didn't like to turn very well. We will be getting the dentist to work on him, but otherwise he seems like a good boy. Approx 20 yrs old.
